Quite often some of the biggest barriers we have in life are ones we put on ourselves. At times we create a mindset that we can not achieve a certain goal, meet a deadline or make a change. The limitations we put on ourselves stop us from even trying, we tell ourselves negative things to support this and it then becomes our reality.
The best way to overcome this is to break things down into smaller bitesize chunks, just like eating a plate of food; it makes it more digestible and achievable. The roadblock we sometimes create is because we tend to make the goal too big and it sends alarm bells ringing in our mind that we will never be able to get there.
Rather than giving up and throwing in the towel, ask yourself 'What are the steps I need to take to make this happen?' This then forces you to break things down into smaller, more manageable stages; which can lead you towards your objective. You can even go a step further and break down these smaller stages into even smaller stages, even tinner steps. Each step will ultimately lead you towards your desired outcome and allow you to keep moving forward in the right direction.
Don't quit before you have even started, break things down into manageable sections, make these sections achievable for you; and be consistent with your progress. Sometimes the smallest steps forward have the greatest impacts.
